The Academy has been in existence since the 1890s and in the United States was originally known as Dr. Benedict Lust’s American School of Naturopathy. In recent years the Academy but has become a low key institution focused on Personal Growth, Healing, and Human Potential, rather than large scale marketing. Some schools want to be the largest in the world with the most students. We are more concerned in being the most personal and the most comprehensive of learning centers. At the Academy we provide you with a solid foundation for transcending all obstacles as you walk the path to personal and professional success. We serve every level of student from a beginner to advance and no matter what level you are at – no prior training is required to enter the Academy!

We offer small (2-3 students) personalized/customized classes in New York City and in the Western Catskills of New York State; In Albany, Oneonta, Cooperstown, Stamford (NY), Woodstock, Kingston and New Paltz as part of our Fast Track Program. We also offer residential programs at our retreat center and headquarters in Stamford NY.

We never stop learning, even the smartest of us. The Natural Healing Academy is the only learning center in the United States capable of teaching students from a beginning to a post graduate level. If you have completed an integrative nutrition healing studies program, or personal development training elsewhere and are interested in advanced work we have graduate level programs available.

We have regularly scheduled classes in NYC, Kingston, Woodstock, Oneonta, Delhi, Albany, and Stamford NY, as well as residential learning opportunities.

Yes, but within this structure you get to choose the classes and the structure that works best for you -one that best fits your learning style.

Many of these other institutes and schools provide a great service in introducing young students who have absolutely no background in holistic health or healing to the various diet theories found in the media and in popular books. These schools tend to offer basic information much of which can be obtained by searching the web. These schools also tend to offer a cookie cutter/ assembly line approach to nutrition and healing education. Their graduates all get the same online learning package, create the same, brochures and business cards and most open practices as Health Coaches (with varying levels of success). Some Institutes imply that they can offer an accredited degree or some type of nationally recognized certification though they cannot. We are not criticising what they offer. It has great value for a certain type of student but that is not what we are looking to offer here at the Natural Healing Academy. Our focus is somewhat different. We are interested in the student seeking to build on what they may have already learned about nutrition and healing. We integrate their knowledge and help them to expand it through a teaching style that fits their unique personality. Such an approach requires customized-personalized programs. That is what makes the natural Healing Academy unique among all educational centers teaching integrative nutrition, natural healing, and alternative and complementary medicine.

We have the largest computerized data base of strategies, techniques and tools  for healing the body, mind and spirit in the world.  In addition our faculty is made up of active holistic nutrition and healing practitioners who have a passion for sharing what they know with others.  Many schools are willing to settle for  teachers with plenty of book knowledge but little or no practical experience. Would you rather study with a teacher who “read the book” or with a teacher who wrote the book?

No. A young committed, beginning student will prosper here, however  this is not a superficial school. We offer a complete and comprehensive, holistic nutrition and healing education for the aware and committed student. Again these classes may be used for your personal growth and healing or as professional training.

Our student body is international and comes from all  backgrounds.  A student at the Academy may be a young person with a passion for helping others, a corporate professional seeking a career change, a human potential entrepreneur, a spiritual seeker looking for a grounded and focused approach to healing, or an established healing professional in private practice seeking to expand his or her skills. Many of our students are Medical Doctors, massage therapists, Reiki Masters, psychotherapists, and Professional Motivational Speakers  looking to fill in “the blanks” in their knowledge and skills.

Some open private practices as health or wellness coaches. Other become professional speakers, authors, corporate consultants, radio talk show hosts or create their own schools and learning centers.
